Israel Arevalo is a bilingual school psychologist and doctoral candidate at Texas A&M University’s School Psychology program. His research interests include bilingual assessment, educational impacts of parental involvement, data science and visualization within behavioral health and education, and artificial intelligence within healthcare. Israel is part of multiple research teams that investigate current practices within bilingual assessment, acculturation, and teacher’s attitudes towards assessment.
Israel plays a integral role as the Data Team Lead at the Telehealth Institute at Texas A&M University’s School of Medicine. Israel applies data science practices to analyze clinical records, patient outcomes, and clinical services across systems to enhance the delivery of telehealth care to patients over 30+ counties in the state of Texas and support the development of evidence-based practices in the provision and research of telehealth care.
As a current school psychologist, Israel also works within the public schools in the greater Houston area and provides psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, and related services to children within the public schools.
